We finish the round with the latest offshoot of the Accardo family, made up of Tiok Accardo and Pelagia Crespo. Tiok’s sister, Isidora will be replacing Pelagia as the emperor’s slave.
They get to be the first family to move into my lovely slave apartments. Originally they were going to be joined by the second Crespo family but realistic sickness killed that plan. So they’ll have a townie neighbor *grumbles* but I’d already built this lot and didn’t have a clean copy of the other slave lot because I installed the UC so I didn’t have many options.
This is their luxurious apartment. I’m testing playing with no sound protection from babies and toddlers so we’ll have to see how that goes. It’s only for two rounds what can possibly go wrong?
Pelagia starts on the soup, she may have needed help getting the ingredients since neither her nor Tiok is a family sim. Since I only have two non family sim households I decided to let them all have soup, it’s just not fair otherwise.
Pelagia fishes with her granny.
Caius stopped by for a visit and decided to celebrate by kicking the
bucket uh bin.
He does compliment Pelagia and she seems to forgive him.
“Yes, the aroma of spoilt food entwines with the soft orange of the carrots to….”
I have no idea what he’s on about.
Tiok decided to slap some sense into him for no apparent reason.
Luckily Caius is the forgiving sort.
“Ahh! Naked townie demon!”
Again? I guess things aren’t all good between the brothers.
Kani obviously hasn’t forgotten her childhood spent fishing.
This is the first night people and this happened. Luckily they could just dispose of the offending reeds.
I forgot I needed to get them married so the bub would have the right name.
“Will you marry me, with these swirling hearts as witness?”
Spoiler if you say no I’ll pull out the hacked arch, I need more families and neither of you have many prospects.
They threw a wedding. Who knew most of their friends were bloody rich?
Wedding or no wedding the garden still needed attending.
They make a great couple.
Tierce congratulates her son on getting married. Pelagia is expecting her first grand-baby after all.
The couple celebrates.
Tiok: “That was quick.”
Tierce stuck around to witness the birth.
Baby is a boy, Ares.
The fish thing never gets old.
Then this happened the next thing I knew. At this point I had no idea what happened, I took my eyes off Pelagia for a minute to get Tiok to tend to Ares and Pelagia combusted.
Tiok struggled to get the flames under control.
Luckily for her they’re in an apartment building and the fire department showed up instantly.
Less luckily for her she was pregnant and all her motives were now in the deep orange or the red. From this point on it was hell trying to keep her and the unborn baby alive in between nursing Ares.
She kept having nightmares about her ordeal too, poor thing.
Finally I managed to get her hunger and energy good enough to deal with her other motives, namely fun.
Ares grew into a cute toddler.
Tiok also grew up.
He got his makeover.
Luckily for the couple Tierce like never left and was able to tend to Ares.
I think it was lighting a dish on fire that nearly killed Pelagia. You see when she first moved into the emperor’s palace I had her study cooking to cook meals befitting their station so when she cooks autonomously she can choose things that involve fire.
Luckily this time there were no more incidents. I need to start watching what this one cooks.
Pelagia finally went into labor late on the last night of the round.
Well bleep… they have nowhere to put the babies so they don’t wake everyone up.
Baby number 1: Junia, a girl.
Baby number 2: Glaucia, another girl.
And baby number three: Aguae another girl.
There are a few good things about these triplets as hard as this household will be next round. Firstly up until these three the death rate was equal to the birth rate, these girls are the only reason my population grew this round. Secondly the gender ratio for births has been mostly boys for about two rounds now.
Back: Pelagia (4), Tiok (4)
Front: Ares (5), Glaucia (5), Aguae (5), Junia (5)
